The Rotary Club of Mission Valley Sunset upholds Rotary International ‘s ideals of “Service Above Self.” Being a hands on club, we believe in making a difference in our local community. We support several local organizations in San Diego, including the San Diego Rescue Mission, in which we volunteer at their soup kitchen every quarter. We have an annual Mother’s Day Run that we have partnered with the San Diego Rescue Mission and the funds from the run support the mission’s homeless shelter in addition to their rehabilitation programs. Always willing to lend a helping hand, we have supported Old Mission Rotary Club‘s Project Mercy in Tijuana, in which homes were built for many of the families in that area. We have also done river clean-ups in Mission Valley for the San Diego River Park Foundation, created photo books for Picture Me Happy, for terminally ill children, and bought gifts and spent time with residents with special needs at the Home of Guiding Hands.
We are a club that gives a lot of our time, energy, and more importantly, our heart to many local causes here in San Diego. We have a primary focus on helping out our community, with a focus on women and children in our service projects.
